Senior Multichain Backend Web3 Engineer

Location: Remote - US/Europe/Latam/Dubai but must have 5hrs overlap with EST

Compensation: $150K - $200K

Join a well-funded, expert-led team building the foundational yield engine for the crypto economy. We are creating the unified layer that intelligently and continuously reallocates capital across Decentralized Finance (DeFi) protocols to maximize returns. This is a ground-floor opportunity to architect the transition to a multi-chain Web3 future.

This is a high-impact role with immense ownership over the most complex and critical aspects of our platform. You will be responsible for designing and building the scalable infrastructure required to connect and manage assets across various blockchain networks, ensuring security, reliability, and efficiency for all on-chain interactions. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive on technical problem-solving in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment.

Key Responsibilities & Impact:

• Platform Architecture: Architect and build a comprehensive multichain yield platform, a key piece of DeFi infrastructure.
• Protocol Integration: Design and implement robust backend systems to interface directly with various on-chain protocols and smart contracts across multiple networks.
• Complex Transaction Management: Own and optimize intricate transaction flows, including secure interaction with RPC nodes, managing state, and ensuring reliable, idempotent on-chain execution.
• Future Definition: Play a key role in defining and implementing the next generation of on-chain yield strategies and products.
• Security & Quality: Maintain the highest standards for security, quality, and robustness for all production-grade Web3 systems.

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Web3 backend specialist with a deep understanding of EVM and multi-chain interaction, coupled with a strong bias for action and autonomy.

Essential Qualifications:

• Production Web3 Experience: 3+ years of demonstrable experience building and releasing production-grade Web3 backend systems.
• Protocol Integration Mastery: Strong track record of integrating with various protocols and smart contracts, including managing complex transaction flows and seamless RPC node interaction.
• EVM and DeFi Fundamentals: Deep understanding of EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) fundamentals, smart contract best practices, and current industry patterns in DeFi.
• Tooling Proficiency: Extensive experience with popular Web3 development and testing tools/libraries (e.g., Tenderly, ethers, viem, wagmi, or similar).

Execution & Ownership:

• Strong bias towards action and the ability to work autonomously, thriving in high-ambiguity environments.
• Possess the perseverance to figure out the solution to any complex, previously unsolved technical challenge.

Nice to Have:

• Prior experience deploying smart contracts to mainnet and various EVM-compatible chains.
