As a System Validation Engineer at Renesas, you will be responsible for the successful product characterization in the laboratory. A systematic validation of our analog mixed-signal IC-products is the key to success for our business lines. Your verification and validation tests are developed in close cooperation with the design team and ensure the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.

 

Your Role:

•          Planning and definition of validation tests based on product specifications

•          Technical leadership of IC validation projects

•          Define new concepts and provide inputs for equipment/HW changes aimed at test improvement

•          Preparation of bench setups incl. equipment, probes and DUT connections for sensitive measurements

•          Implementation, debugging and execution of automated tests with LabVIEW / Python / C#

•          Post-processing, data analysis, comparison of results to simulations and ATE

•          Debugging to discover and isolate root causes of silicon bugs

•          Customer support in IC device application issues

•          Documentation of executed tests and weekly status reporting

•          PCB design including schematic and layout of validation hardware with Altium

•          Calibration management for measurement devices

•          Ordering and management of laboratory supplies

•          Soldering tasks, incl. SMD rework

 

 

Your Profile:

•          Graduate with a degree in electrical engineering, electronics, physics or related fields

•          Genuine, open-minded and hands-on approach with passion for technical challenges

•          Knowledge of main electronic components and functional circuitry

•          Practical experience with analog mixed-signal semiconductor devices

•          Knowledge of measurement techniques

•          Knowledge of LabVIEW, Python, C#, PCB design tools

•          Experience with Altium Designer is a strong plus

•          Familiarity with soldering (incl. SMD) and basic mechanical/metalworking tools

•          Experience with calibration management is beneficial

•          Disciplined, methodical and structured in the execution of tasks

•          Problem-solving oriented mindset, driving for solutions

•          Confident and proactive attitude toward own role, team goals and contribution to company objectives

•          Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team

•          Able to meet commitments under pressure and prioritize accordingly

•          Valid work allowance for Germany

•          Fluent in English. German is a plus

•          EMC standards and testing know-how is a plus
