You Are:

As a Senior User Experience (UX) Engineer, you will support the development of Client medical readiness and suitability screening platform by implementing complex, workflow-driven user interfaces within an established architecture. This role is a senior individual contributor position focused on high-quality delivery in a regulated federal health environment.

The Work:

  • Transform client policy and vision into pixels.
  • Design and implement complex React + TypeScript components supporting multi-step workflows.
  • Build and maintain large, form-heavy user interfaces with conditional logic and role-based access.
  • Refactor and stabilize concepts to improve maintainability and delivery readiness.
  • Adhere to federal delivery standards, documentation practices, and coding conventions.
  • Collaborate closely with the platform lead and cross-functional team members

Here’s What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of professional software UX & UI experience design
  • Experience with complex enterprise web-based applications
  • Demonstrated experience building workflow-oriented or form-heavy systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work within defined architectural patterns
  • System-Level Thinker: Hold multiple modules, forms, and workflows in their head at once; Understand why something exists, not just how to code it.; Extend patterns without re-inventing them
  • Senior Frontend Engineer (React / TypeScript): React + TypeScript (hooks, composition, context, Zustand/Redux-style stores); Complex, form-heavy UIs.; Conditional rendering & dynamic workflows.; Refactoring without regressions
  • Front-of-Backend / Data Modeling Mindset: Design front ends that support back-end data; Excel import/export for rapid prototyping and data simulation; Downstream analytics; AI/ML readiness; multi-consumer use (UI, rules engines, reporting)
  • Form + Workflow Engineering Experience for PARATUS prototypes: Large, regulated forms (healthcare, military policy); Semantic step IDs, completion flags, role-based gating; Conditional question logic; Dense data entry without UX collapse
  • Pattern Discipline: Naming conventions; File/folder strategy; Work with AI tools to incorporate comments in code for developers

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience supporting federal, DoD, VA, DHA, or healthcare IT programs
  • Familiarity with compliance-driven UI design and audit-ready systems
  • Experience working on prototypes or pilot systems transitioning toward production Mindset
  • Comfortable operating independently in evolving environments while making sound decisions with limited direction
  • Demonstrates effectiveness in situations with incomplete or emerging requirements
  • Support an entrepreneurial spirit of figuring out a solution to challenges while delivering quality at speed
  • Understanding of Client Medicine and other military service readiness systems

 

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
