The role

As a Senior UX Researcher & Strategist on our Insight & Experience Innovation team, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally to shape product and service direction, de-risk high-ambiguity bets, and advocate for the user's voice across HelloFresh Group.

You will design and lead research and strategy projects that unearth meaningful insight and translate it into clear direction for what we should build next. Your work will transform assumptions into evidence-backed opportunities and concepts, making an immediate and lasting impact on our customers and our company.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring a mixed-methods research toolkit, experience applying it in digital product environments, and a strong strategic lens. You know how to build confidence in ambiguous spaces, influence senior stakeholders, and build advocacy for the customer across the organization.

About the team

The Insight & Experience Innovation (IXI) practice is a multidisciplinary and global team of UX Research Strategists and Research Operations Specialists. We sit within HelloFresh group's UX organization which is composed of researchers, writers, and designers. Together, we enable the organization to respond with agility and ease to ever-shifting customer needs and company priorities, empowering our colleagues with information and tools to make well-informed decisions.

What you’ll do

  • Lead strategic research initiatives: Own end-to-end research and strategy work streams, from scoping through execution to insight delivery and application, balancing primary, secondary, qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Shape experiences across the ecosystem: Partner with product, design, marketing, operations, and business teams to understand and shape experiences across the full customer and service ecosystem.
  • Discover new opportunity spaces: Lead generative, future-facing research to uncover unmet needs, system-level tensions, and new opportunity areas beyond existing product roadmaps.
  • Apply rigorous, strategic methods: Select and apply generative, evaluative, and concept-testing methodologies with a strategic lens, prioritizing opportunity discovery and desirability validation over late-stage usability testing.
  • Synthesize & activate insight: Translate research into strategic narratives, opportunity frames, and future-state strategies, and drive alignment through well-designed, insight-led workshops and co-creation sessions.
  • Prototype concepts and strategies: Create and prototype concepts, value propositions, and service scenarios to evaluate desirability and provide direction for product and service development.
  • Champion the user: Promote user-centric thinking in teams and ensure the customer experience remains at the forefront of product and service decisions.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders: Act as a thought partner to senior stakeholders, challenging assumptions, reframing problem spaces, and shaping strategic priorities with evidence.
