We’re looking for a Senior UX Researcher, to join two small but growing teams:  our emerging business team focused on generative AI, and our new UX research team.

Why AI?  We believe this emerging technology opens up avenues to catalyze self-insight and improve human connection, and equip our coaches and members with the skills they each need in order to progress in the ways they seek.

As a Senior UX Researcher, you will be embedded in the AI team, working closely with cross-functional partners to envision, define, and test what we build, across an array of products.

  • Design and conduct foundational, formative, and evaluative qualitative and quantitative research
  • Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research
  • Work with product managers, designers, engineers, and other UXRs, to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment
  • Collaborate with a diverse group of cross-functional product, design, engineering, behavioral science, and product marketing partners to achieve overall alignment and impact
  • Synthesize and communicate research findings to drive understanding and user empathy on your team and across the organization
  • Use your expertise to teach your quantitative and qualitative methods to other members of the team

If you have some or all of the following, please apply:

  • 5+ years of relevant industry (non-academic) experience as an applied researcher
  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Statistics, Data Science, Behavioral Economics, Human-Centered Design, or a related field; or BA/BS and equivalent industry experience in a product-centric environment
  • Previous experience conducting AI-related research (bonus:  previous experience conducting trust- or privacy-related research)
  • Previous experience conducting conversation- and interaction-related research
  • Experience planning and conducting mid-to-large scale research projects across various product phases
  • Experience with mixed methods, and ideally with a focus on strategic and/or quantitative research
  • Deep understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during various product phases
  • Demonstrable experience partnering with product management, engineering, design, data science, analytics, product marketing, and other product researchers
  • Ability to quickly tailor and design effective, appropriate research methodologies within time and resource constraints
  • Ability to create compelling presentations and confidently convey research insights through storytelling to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience influencing business and product decisions using research and data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Active learner, actively seeking to expand and share knowledge and experience in UX research to best support the evolving needs of the team
  • Enjoy working on entrepreneurial teams, and in virtual, fast-paced environments
