The Role

We are looking for a self-directed, oriented mindset Senior UX Designer to join Unblu's R&D team. This is a senior, independent contributor role for a full-stack designer who can own end-to-end UX initiatives (from research, high-fidelity design through implementation and validation).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end UX design processes, from discovery, ideation, delivery through implementation and validation
• Translate complex concepts into intuitive, usable experiences for multiple personas
• Influence product decisions using UX best practices, established design patterns, and research insights
• Collaborate closely with Engineering to design solutions that are effective, efficient, feasible, and scalable
• Comfortable engaging directly with customers to understand their needs, pain points, and gather insights to apply to the product
• Develop usability test plans, scripts, and scenarios
• Ensure designs are responsive, adaptive, accessible, and consistent across desktop and mobile platforms
• Contribute to and help scale design systems, patterns, and guidelines
• Mentor and guide other designers, fostering growth, collaboration, and design excellence within the team

Requirements

Education & experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 5+ years of UX/UI product design experience, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment
• Proven experience delivering end-to-end workflows and scalable design systems in production
• Strong portfolio piece demonstrating UX and UI work along the cycle

Education & experience

• Advanced proficiency in Figma, including complex components, variants, and interactive prototypes
• Hands-on experience conducting user research and translating insights into impactful design solutions
• Experience with remote moderated and unmoderated usability testing
• Strong grasp of user-centered design principles, interaction patterns, and current web/app/mobile design trends
• Experience designing responsive, adaptive, and accessible interfaces across web, desktop, iOS, and Android
• Solid understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0 AA), inclusive design, and localization

Language requirements

• Professional fluency in English is required; proficiency in German is a plus

Technical & collaboration skills

• Strong collaboration skills with Engineering to ensure feasibility, edge-case handling, and high-quality implementation
• Familiarity with front-end development concepts (HTML, CSS, etc.)
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
