Senior UI/UX with German

Our client operates within the food manufacturing and direct distribution sector, with a strong specialization in frozen and ice products. The company’s core business model focuses on delivering these products directly to end consumers across multiple European countries, ensuring a seamless and efficient distribution process.

The project focuses on developing a Point of Sales solution for drivers, enabling seamless, mobile-friendly processing of customer orders, payments, and deliveries directly from the field.

Responsibilities

Understand user needs and business goals: Conduct user research and discovery activities to identify user and business requirements, ensuring design solutions align with the context and goals.

Facilitate client workshops: Lead workshops to define user goals, journeys and experience direction, in order to align stakeholders on business and user requirements.

Validate design solutions: Develop wireframes to bring ideas to life, validate solutions, and conduct validation sessions with teams, stakeholders, or users. Iterate on products by incorporating feedback and insights.

Apply a consultancy mindset: Proactively understand and align with client goals and business contexts, build trusted stakeholder relationships, and facilitate in-team ideation sessions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with Product Owners to assess product requirements, translate them into interactive prototypes, user flows, wireframes, and final designs. Collaborate with development teams to ensure an intuitive, simple, and elegant user experience that meets technical requirements.

Communicate design decisions and insights: Synthesize insights and capture workshop outcome in clear, presentable format. Tailor the communication of design decisions and approaches to diverse audience. 

Mentor and lead design initiatives: Provide guidance and support to peer designers on projects, share best practices, conduct design reviews, and manage stakeholder activities within a German-speaking product community. Contribute to the growth of the Product Design community by actively sharing knowledge, fostering experimentation and encouraging learning.

Qualifications

Must Have:

• 5+ years of experience in a UX/UI design position
• Hands-on experience using Figma for UX design and collaboration
• Strong facilitation skills for workshops and stakeholder engagements
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, negotiate and prioritize effectively in multi-cultural environments
• Experience across various ways of working and project complexities
• Strong analytical judgment, critical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills
• Advanced proficiency in German and English (both written and verbal)
