A prominent Indonesian financial technology company is looking for a Senior Test Engineer to ensure product quality, both through automated and manual testing. As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be designing and implementing tests, debug and take corrective actions. You play a vital role in the company's product development process. You will be responsible for testing the product before launches to ensure that the product is reliable and free from errors.
What you'll do
- Lead test planning, estimation, and the design of robust automation frameworks tailored to project needs.
- Define automation approaches, identify emerging tools, and set up end-to-end testing environments/pipelines across all platforms.
- Conduct high-level test case reviews and oversee the full defect lifecycle - from identification and reporting to final resolution.
- Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and automation training to Junior Test Engineers.
- Monitor and optimize automation activities to ensure testing remains efficient and aligned with strategic goals.
What you'll need
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Strong hands-on experience testing mobile applications (Android/iOS).
- Proven ability to manage resources and delegate tasks based on risk, impact, and project urgency.
- Deep experience with automation frameworks in one or more languages: TypeScript (preferred), JavaScript, Java, Python, etc.
- Familiarity of CI/CD pipelines, modern testing tools, and diverse automation methodologies.
- Skilled at "out-of-the-box" test design and identifying complex, high-severity bugs.
- Excellence in bug reporting (clear reproduction steps, environment data, and logs) to streamline developer workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of mentoring teams and driving technical excellence.
