(Senior) Technical Project Manager Software (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage complex software development projects in robotics using agile methodologies, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery
  • Organize and facilitate meetings including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives 
  • Translate business requirements and system-level specifications into well-structured, technically sound JIRA tickets with clear acceptance criteria
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog in close collaboration with Product Owners and technical leads
  • Track sprint progress, proactively identify risks and blockers, and ensure timely mitigation
  • Ensure transparency of project status, dependencies, and risks toward stakeholders and management Coordinate cross-functional alignment between software, electronics, mechanics, and system integration teams Monitor milestones, release plans, and integration timelines to guarantee smooth system-level delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, documentation quality, and development workflows
  • Ensure that deliverables meet quality standards, validation requirements, and integration constraints

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or Software Project Manager in an agile development environment
  • Strong technical background in software development (e.g., C++, Python, embedded Linux, ROS/ROS2, real-time systems, distributed systems, APIs)
  • Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), CI/CD pipelines, version control, and software validation in hardware-integrated environments• Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, and agile project management tools
  • Proven ability to write clear, structured, and technically accurate work packages
  • Strong organizational skills, ensuring that every team member clearly understands priorities, scope, and deadlines 
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills in English• Strong risk management and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience working in interdisciplinary robotics or embedded systems environments

Beneficial Skills

  • German and Mandarin languages are a plus
  • Experience in AI, computer vision, motion planning, or real-time control systems, or exposure to those
  • Experience scaling agile processes in growing engineering teams
  • German language skills
  • PMP, Scrum Master, or similar certification
  • Flexibility for business trips
