Senior Technical Program Manager, Testing

Mission

The Motional Technical Program Management team is seeking a talented TPM to support our Testing activities as we gear up for the launch of driverless robotaxis. This role requires strong collaboration and management across our systems, safety, software, hardware, and testing teams. We are currently seeking an individual who has experience in the verification and validation of complex systems, and is successful working cross-functionally to plan and execute test events and ensure the infrastructure is available to support. What You'll Do

  • Work closely with stakeholder teams to plan test activities, specifically ensuring test resources and infrastructure are available, and test plans are coordinated and approved.
  • Actively manage execution of test activities, tracking progress against key metrics and removing blockers and inefficiencies as required.
  • Partner with our software, hardware, and simulation teams to plan, build, and actively manage our system hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) bench infrastructure.
  • Integrate the HIL infrastructure with the Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline and incorporate automated SW testing into our overall testing strategy.
  • Communicate at both the engineering and executive level, to not only communicate and work through technical details, but also brief Test Readiness Reviews, test status, and build test reports for executive consumption.
  • Set priorities and coordinate between multiple engineering and operations teams and external stakeholders to support our overall testing strategy and deconflict activities and resources.
  • Work closely with engineering leadership to help define and track key organizational objectives.
  • Proactively identify, manage, and report on risks and issues.
  • Travel once or twice a quarter as required.

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated experience with Continuous Integration and automated SW testing.
  • Demonstrated experience integration testing FW, SW, and HW.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the verification and validation of complex systems, including but not limited to, autonomous vehicles, ADAS, aerospace, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience working across teams and disciplines resolving competing priorities and managing dependencies.
  • Creative problem solver, resourceful and skilled at conflict resolution.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, especially the ability to communicate complex engineering issues and tailor messaging based on audience.
  • Strong understanding of Systems Engineering fundamentals, especially how it relates to hardware, software and system-level design.
  • Experience using Confluence, JIRA, and Smartsheets to plan project activities and track progress.
  • Degree in Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment across multiple time zones with a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to come into a Motional office at a minimum 2-3 days a week 

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors including but not limited to specific skills, experience and expertise, role location, certifications, licenses, and business needs. The estimated compensation range listed in this job posting reflects base salary only. This role may include additional forms of compensation such as a bonus or company equity. Salary Range
$130,000$174,500 USD
