Role Summary

You will be the operational backbone of Bizee's engineering organization. This role owns the end-to-end operating model for how engineering prioritizes, plans, executes, and reports on technical initiatives. You will bring structure to a team transitioning from ad-hoc Kanban to predictable, accountable delivery while supporting SOC 2 compliance operationalization.

What You'll Own

Operating Model & Process Design

• Define and implement the engineering operating model: how work enters, gets prioritized, planned, executed, and delivered
• Establish intake queue management with clear criteria for request acceptance, routing, and initial sizing
• Build prioritization framework balancing business value, technical debt, platform health, and strategic initiatives
• Create solution design process ensuring technical approach is documented before development begins
• Design and enforce cadence: sprint planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives, and quarterly planning cycles

Program Leadership & Technical Execution

• Run end-to-end program management for platform modernization, Data, AI initiatives, infrastructure work, and cross-team dependencies
• Define roadmaps, milestones, risks, and reporting for platform, data, and AI programs
• Translate complex systems work into clear, actionable execution plans with owners and deadlines
• Drive execution across AI-powered workflows, automation, and ML model integration
• Support rollout of API-first foundations, event-driven architecture, and system re-architecture

KPI Dashboards & Visibility

• Build and maintain executive dashboards showing program health, velocity trends, risk exposure, and delivery confidence
• Create team-level dashboards for sprint progress, cycle time, throughput, and work-in-progress limits
• Define leading and lagging indicators that surface problems early and drive accountability
• Translate technical metrics into business impact language for stakeholder consumption

SOC 2 & Compliance Operations

• Partner with security and compliance to define, document, and operationalize SOC 2 processes within engineering
• Establish change management procedures with appropriate documentation and approval workflows
• Create and maintain evidence collection processes for audit readiness
• Ensure engineering practices align with security controls and compliance requirements

Cross-Functional Orchestration

• Align Engineering, Platform, Data, AI/ML, Product, and Design around a unified execution rhythm
• Ensure dependencies, sequencing, and resource needs are visible and well-managed
• Facilitate decision-making, unblock teams, and ensure outcomes stay on track
• Partner with Head of Data & AI and Head of Platform Engineering to ensure technical initiatives land cleanly

What You'll Bring

Required Experience

• 8+ years of Technical Program Management in SaaS, platform, or high-scale engineering environments
• Proven track record designing and implementing engineering operating models from scratch
• Experience with SOC 2 compliance, audit preparation, or security/compliance program management
• Strong understanding of modern engineering systems: APIs, microservices, data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and ML-in-production
• Demonstrated success orchestrating cross-functional, multi-quarter technical programs
• Experience building dashboards and reporting systems (Jira, Linear, custom tooling)

Skills & Attributes

• High operational rigor: you bring structure, clarity, sequencing, and accountability
• Ability to partner deeply with engineering leads while communicating clearly to executives
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to impose order on chaos without losing the team
• A builder's mindset: detail-oriented, high ownership, proactive, and unafraid of hard conversations
• Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency is a strong plus for team collaboration
