Today is an exciting time to be in the game industry. There is rapid advancement in interesting new areas that enable us to build creations that were previously impossible or prohibitively costly. Often it takes significant effort to develop new ideas and experiment with young technologies while also competing for resources with the main development team. At Build a Rocket Boy we are building a dedicated R&D team specifically to focus on current and future ground-breaking technologies and help build the next generation of games and entertainment products.
As a Senior Technical Designer, you will be working alongside a small and agile R&D team and focus on quick iteration on prototypes that aim to create state of the art game features and unique experiences. You are an engineer at heart and enjoy building player-facing logic and systems. You are a team player, work well with multiple departments in a cross-disciplinary team, and use your experience to mentor and guide junior members of the team.
We would consider candidates looking for remote work for this position.
