Senior Tax Manager

TLDR

Act as the lead tax advisor managing direct tax controversies and supporting international projects while delivering training to business stakeholders.

  • Strategic Tax Planning & Cash Efficiency: Provide international direct tax and transfer pricing advice for construction, O&M, and large-scale projects; drive group-wide tax policies and planning initiatives to minimize tax leakage and optimize cash efficiency.
  • Project & Transaction Leadership: Act as lead tax advisor on international projects and construction initiatives; support M&A transactions, including tax due diligence and post-deal integration.
  • Tax Risk, Controversy & Audit Management: Manage direct tax controversies, support tax audits, and coordinate with external advisors as required.
  • Business Partnership & Capability Building: Serve as a trusted advisor to Group Tax and business stakeholders; deliver training and translate complex tax matters into clear, actionable guidance for non-tax audiences up to C‑suite level.
  • Tax Intelligence, Compliance & Reporting: Monitor global direct tax developments, advise management on implications, and support tax accounting processes in line with IFRS.
  • Education & Credentials: Master’s degree in Tax, Law, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field; professional tax qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA, Swiss Tax Expert, Chartered Tax Advisor) strongly preferred.
  • Professional Experience: 8–12 years of international corporate tax and transfer pricing experience, ideally gained in Big 4, international tax advisory, or a comparable in‑house tax function; M&A tax exposure is a plus.
  • Industry & Risk Exposure: Experience in energy, construction, manufacturing, engineering, or other project‑based industries; hands‑on involvement in tax controversy and audit defense.
  • Technical & Digital Expertise: Deep knowledge of international corporate tax (including BEPS and Pillar Two), transfer pricing, IFRS tax accounting, and tax technology/tools; familiarity with IFS ERP is an advantage.
  • Languages & Personal Competencies: Fluent English (essential), strong German (highly beneficial), additional languages a plus; strong communication, stakeholder management, problem‑solving skills, hands‑on mindset, and willingness to travel internationally (2–4 times per year); eligible to work in Switzerland.
