Senior Tax Accountant / Tax Supervisor (remote friendly)

We are hiring a Tax Accountant with strong review experience to join our growing public accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who wants to move beyond pure tax preparation and focus on review, strategy, and higher-level client work.

You will take ownership of reviewing returns, identifying planning opportunities, and supporting overall tax quality while working in a flexible, hybrid environment.

What You'll Own

• Review individual, partnership, S-corporation, and corporate tax returns for accuracy and compliance
• Identify tax planning opportunities and provide strategic insight for clients
• Review and adjust QuickBooks financials to ensure tax readiness
• Provide guidance and feedback to a distributed support team
• Communicate directly with clients on tax-related matters
• Help improve internal workflows, review processes, and quality standards
• Operate independently with ownership over deliverables

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of public accounting tax experience
• Strong experience reviewing tax returns (not preparation-only)
• Proficiency with UltraTax (Thomson Reuters)
• Experience with QuickBooks
• Knowledge across individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid/remote environment
• Experience working with offshore or distributed teams is a plus
• CPA or CPA eligibility preferred
