About the Opportunity
Mendaera is looking for a Systems Engineer to help define solutions that address unmet needs in healthcare, quantify those solutions with engineering specifications and KPIs, create development strategies, and lead system level prioritization and execution against program timelines. The position reports to Mendaera’s Systems Engineering Manager, and will collaborate closely with our product management and engineering teams. The annual salary range for this role is $138,000-$206,000.
About You
We are looking for candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments, embrace ambiguity, can create frameworks and work-product from scratch, are able to level between micro and macro analysis, possess critical and system thinking ability, and are detail oriented.
Systems Engineer responsibilities include:
- Lead cross-functional teams to design and develop complex medical devices
- Understand the system from both a technical and user perspective, and drive definition and development of the system accordingly
- Work with product to translate clinical and business requirements to design input requirements and technical specifications
- Generate use cases, trade studies, and risk assessments to facilitate systematic trade-off decisions and robust engineering solutions
- Develop test methods to accurately characterize and verify the system design against performance requirements
- Build prototypes, fixtures, and scripts for data acquisition and analysis
- Work cross-disciplinarily to provide hands-on system troubleshooting and debugging
- Prioritize engineering feature sets and drive system level execution
