About InVitro Capital
InVitro Capital is a U.S.-based venture studio and fund that builds and funds companies from idea to exit — focusing on technology-driven businesses that solve real-world problems. Our portfolio spans healthcare, home services, and sales technology, with each venture engineered for sustainable growth and operational excellence.
Role Overview
InVitro Capital is seeking a Senior System Admin with deep technical expertise and a proactive, automation-first mindset. This is a hands-on leadership role — not a basic IT support position. We’re looking for someone who thrives in cloud-native ecosystems, architecting scalable infrastructure, automating complex workflows, and driving operational excellence across InVitro Capital and its portfolio companies.
As a Senior IT Specialist, you will own and evolve our IT systems landscape, leading automation initiatives, securing endpoints, and resolving Tier 1–3 support escalations with precision and accountability. Your expertise will directly shape the security, scalability, and reliability of our operations across multiple fast-growing startups.
What You’ll Do
- Administer and maintain Windows/Linux servers, core services, and business-critical applications.
- Manage virtualization and/or cloud environments (VMware/Hyper-V and/or AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Own day-to-day user onboarding/offboarding, workstation provisioning, and admin support escalations.
- Maintain asset inventory (devices, servers, licenses, warranties) and basic capacity planning.
- Manage Identity and Access Management (IAM): AD/Azure AD/Google Workspace (as applicable), groups, RBAC, MFA.
- Operate endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune/Jamf/MDM, GPO), baseline hardening, encryption, local admin controls.
- Enforce least privilege and assist in periodic access reviews and audits.
- Run patch management and vulnerability remediation cycles (OS/app updates, firmware where needed).
- Support security tooling operations: EDR, email security settings, log forwarding, and alert triage (as assigned).
- Assist with incident response: isolate endpoints, collect logs, preserve evidence, execute containment steps.
- Maintain backup routines, verify restore tests, and document recovery steps (RPO/RTO aware).
- Monitor system health, storage, and performance; troubleshoot outages and prevent recurrence.
- Improve reliability via automation and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain clean documentation: network diagrams (basic), admin runbooks, SOPs, and change logs.
- Follow change management practices and produce post-incident notes/RCA where required.
