Senior Surveyor

Base Location:Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Orkney or London

Business Unit: Part of Xodus Group, Evolv Energies is at the forefront of major international projects where we bring a unique, integrated perspective and specialist engineering expertise to support offshore developers, investors and the wider construction and installation supply chain through Concept, Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed Design, and across Construction and Installation activities, predominately in relation to offshore wind, interconnectors and energy transition projects.

Role: Our Senior Surveyor will have the ability to work on a variety of project scopes including, offshore wind (fixed and floating), and subsea cables (transmission and distribution) projects. You will provide technical expertise and support in the definition and delivery of survey related requirements (including tendering) to support both our engineering and construction services projects. The role is office based however, there will be opportunity for some offshore and site based works also.

Requirements

Primary Roles & Responsibilities include:

• Provision of multidisciplined survey expertise to support our engineering and construction services projects with activities ranging from designing survey specifications, involvement in CBRA and route engineering as well as site characterisation, to supervising deliverables from external survey contractors.
• Prepare and deliver multidisciplined survey and associated commercial input to tenders and projects.
• Ensuring survey and associated deliverables are in accordance with both Evolv Energies and Client requirements whilst equally ensuring quality assurance throughout.
• Working effectively on several projects concurrently to deliver challenging targets.
• Working collaboratively and proactively with our multi-disciplined engineering and project delivery teams.

Role Requirements include:

• A hands-on approach, with a can do attitude and willingness work with a team at all levels.
• Demonstrable surveying expertise with strong construction and operational knowledge, experienced in Marine and Offshore construction projects, operations and IRM associated with offshore wind and subsea cable projects. Additional experience with nearshore works and land surveying would be a great addition.
• Ideally Chartered and holding a relevant qualification in fields such as Engineering, Surveying, Geology, Mapping Sciences or similarly related discipline.
• Competent in the use of full suite of current industry survey software and equipment.
• Have detailed knowledge & skills for data processing and interpretation of survey data including but not limited to: multibeam echosounder, GNSS tides, SVPs, USBL, backscatter, sidescan sonar, seismic, sub bottom profiler and magnetometer.
• Ability to plan and supervise own work with minimal supervision to meet deadlines and other operational requirements
• Ability to demonstrate an understanding and experience of offshore site investigations, data integration & Geo-spatial modelling
• Complimentary expertise in the likes of route engineering, GIS, site characterisation would be welcomed.
