The Senior Supply Chain Productivity and Efficiency Specialist will be a pivotal role within the Integrated Supply Chain organization, reporting directly to the VP of Integrated Supply Chain. The role owns the identification, design, and delivery of AI-enabled improvements that reduce manual work, decision latency, and structural inefficiencies across planning, sourcing, manufacturing, and logistics. This specialist will spearhead the integration of advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies, specifically leveraging enterprise Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT or Gemini, workflow automation platforms, along with other internal AI tools, to revolutionize our supply chain operations. The primary objective is to connect disparate supply chain data, processes, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, planning tools, and personnel into a cohesive, highly intelligent, and data-driven ecosystem. This transformation is targeted to yield a minimum 10x increase in overall supply chain productivity and efficiency. Sword’s Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) team is a vital function that enables and oversees every aspect of the product supply chain, starting with research and development and culminating in the delivery of final products to patients/members. The ISC team promotes a culture of collaboration and clear communication across various departments, which significantly enhances operational efficiency and product quality. Composed of professionals from diverse fields, including industrial manufacturing, quality control, procurement, distribution/logistics, and digital transformation, the ISC team adopts a holistic view of the organization's entire value chain. This comprehensive approach allows the team to trace a product's journey from its inception through conceptualization, development, and production, all the way to final delivery. By working closely together, without silos, ISC team members identify potential bottlenecks and proactively address product delivery delays. This cross-functional collaboration leads to reduced costs, agile delivery mechanism, and improved quality standards. The team's collective efforts ensure that products not only meet the rigorous requirements of global industry regulations but are also delivered to patients/members in a timely manner, ultimately enhancing patient care and outcomes.
