As a Senior Strategic Buyer for Electronics, you will drive the global sourcing strategy for electronic components and assemblies across both series product portfolio and new projects. You will play a key role in cost optimization initiatives, supplier management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure a resilient and competitive supply chain.

Your contribution to something big: 

  • Lead the strategic procurement of electronic components and assemblies for series production and new product initiatives, including identifying and executing cost-optimization opportunities.
  • Ensure the achievement of commercial and performance targets for your assigned commodity portfolio.
  • Manage global supplier relationships, including supplier development, qualification, and onboarding of new suppliers.
  • Develop material-field specific sourcing strategies, conduct supply agreements and lead negotiations on an international scale.
  • Act as a key interface with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing to continuously optimize and strategically advance your components and assemblies.
  • Secure sustainable global supply chain stability and mitigate actively risks for your commodity portfolio.

 

What distinguishes you:

 

Education:

  • Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable field.

Experience & Expertise:

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in strategic procurement within the electronics sector (B2B environment).
  • Several years of experience within an EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) company, with a proven track record of measurable achievements.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, cost-optimization methods, and supplier management best practices.
  • Deep expertise in the electronics market, including market dynamics, supplier landscapes, and technology and industry trends that influence sourcing and material strategies.

Personal Qualities:

  • Exceptional negotiation skills, strong cost awareness, entrepreneurial thinking, team orientation, intercultural competence, and excellent communication skills.
  • High level of initiative and the ability to drive topics independently.

Languages:

  • Fluent in English and Chinese, both spoken and written.
