Senior Space Software Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and implement software for space systems.
• Work closely with systems engineers to define software requirements and architectures.
• Utilize programming languages such as C++, Python, and Java for developing software applications.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting activities.
• Document software designs, processes, and maintain version control systems.
• Engage in collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration and deployment of software systems.
• Support mission-critical environments, ensuring code robustness and compliance with aerospace standards.

Requirements

Education and Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree or a PhD is preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on aerospace or defense applications.
• Proficient in C++, Python, and Java with a solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with satellite communication protocols and related software tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must hold an active Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance and the ability to maintain such clearance.
