Position Overview
As a senior member of the enterprise integration team, you will play a pivotal role in building the intelligent and resilient systems that underpin our global logistics operations. Your primary responsibility is to design, develop, and implement secure and scalable integrations between clients, B2B partners, and internal applications, primarily utilizing the Boomi Integration Platform. Working in close collaboration with application owners and technical leads, you will translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions. This position is central to our mission of enabling seamless, data-driven logistics, as your work on core API and EDI integrations will directly enhance data accuracy, process efficiency, and partner visibility across our enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement robust API and EDI integration solutions using the Boomi platform to connect clients, B2B partners, and internal applications.
Collaborate with product owners and technical leads to translate business requirements into scalable technical specifications and integration designs.
Maintain and enhance existing integration workflows across core freight forwarding, customs, and logistics systems to ensure operational efficiency and data accuracy.
Implement complex data mappings, transformations, and routing logic within Boomi, utilizing standard formats such as EDI X12, JSON, and XML, and integrating with REST/SOAP APIs for real-time data exchange.
Implement comprehensive error handling, logging, and alerting strategies to ensure integration stability, and collaborate with QA and DevOps teams on testing, debugging, and deployment activities.
Actively participate in an Agile/Scrum environment, contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle including planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Create and maintain detailed documentation for integration workflows, data mappings, and solution patterns to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.
Required Skills & Experience
3-6 years of professional experience in integration development.
Proven expertise in Boomi for building and managing integrations. Experience with additional iPaaS tools like SnapLogic, Talend, Mulesoft, or Informatica is beneficial.
Proficiency in developing, implementing, and supporting API and EDI integrations for B2B partners and internal applications.
Strong knowledge of integration architecture concepts, including APIs, web services, and B2B messaging.
Demonstrated proficiency working with REST/SOAP APIs and standard data formats including EDI X12, JSON, and XML. EDI knowledge is a plus but not required.
Experience with SQL scripting (T-SQL, DDL/DML) for database interactions.
Familiarity with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Groovy.
Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams and participating in related ceremonies.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Exposure to CI/CD tools like Git and Jenkins is a plus, but not mandatory.
