Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

FindLaw is hiring a Data Engineer (Informatica) to join our Data Services team. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who’s ready to take ownership of data pipelines, learn new tools, and grow in a modern hybrid data environment.
You’ll help design and maintain the pipelines and models that power analytics and reporting across the organization. We work with a diverse stack — Informatica, Pentaho, Snowflake, Postgres, Airflow, MicroStrategy, and Tableau — giving you hands-on exposure across data integration, modeling, and orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica and Pentaho for Snowflake and Postgres systems
  
• Work closely with analytics and business teams to turn requirements into scalable, reliable data flows
  
• Support data modeling, performance tuning, and architecture improvements across environments
  
• Contribute to process automation, best practices, and documentation to improve team efficiency
  

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  
• 3–5 years of experience with relational databases (Postgres, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)
  
• 3–5 years of experience with ETL tools (Informatica preferred)
  
• Solid experience in both on-premise and cloud environments
  
• Familiarity with cloud or MPP databases (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  
• Comfortable collaborating across technical and business teams
  
  

Good to have

• Experience with workflow orchestration (Airflow, Oozie)
  
• Familiarity with BI/reporting tools (Tableau, Looker, MicroStrategy)
  
• Exposure to other ETL tools (Pentaho, DataStage, Apache Hop)
