Senior Software Engineer (Remote - Latam)

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a high-performing, collaborative team focused on building impactful healthcare technology. In this role, you will contribute to core platform features that directly support clinicians and facilities, influencing key metrics and operational outcomes. You will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment that blends AI workflows, prompt engineering, and modern development practices. The position offers the opportunity to shape system architecture, drive code quality, and mentor team members, while actively participating in high-impact decisions. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams, delivering solutions that scale and improve both user and team experiences. Accountabilities:

• Participate actively in mob programming, rotating roles to implement solutions while supporting and guiding team members.
• Lead system design decisions, ensuring maintainable, scalable, and extendable architectures.
• Drive learning and adoption of AI-assisted workflows, integrating prompt engineering into software development processes.
• Conduct thorough code reviews in Go and React Native, sharing knowledge and improving overall code quality.
• Apply YAGNI principles to maintain focus on immediate needs and avoid over-engineering.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements, anticipate edge cases, and deliver high-quality features.
• Mentor and support peers, fostering a culture of learning, engagement, and collaboration.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages with an understanding of tradeoffs between paradigms.
• Demonstrated success with system design and architectural decision-making for complex domains.
• Experience with or openness to collaborative programming methodologies, including pair or mob programming.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with others in English.
• Curiosity and adaptability, with a willingness to experiment, learn, and integrate AI tools into development processes.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in small, high-impact teams where individual contributions matter.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering or AI-assisted development workflows.
• Experience with Go and React Native (ability to learn quickly is highly valued).
• Background in billing systems, marketplace platforms, or high-scale applications.
