Senior Software Engineer (Python) - Brazil - Codurance

We are looking for Software Engineers with Python/Django and React experience who share our values of pragmatism, professionalism, and transparency, and who want to work in forward-thinking, collaborative teams.

We support our clients in many ways, and you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of different internal and client projects. Perhaps you’ll work on a client project from our offices with our team delivery approach. This may be a greenfield Django application for a startup, or helping to build a mission-critical Python-based system for a large enterprise client. Perhaps you’ll work as an embedded craftsperson, working within our client's existing engineering team to help them improve how they build and maintain Django applications. Or maybe you're more interested in helping to introduce the values of Software Craftsmanship and Extreme Programming practices to an organisation through coaching & mentoring.

Requirements

We are growing our Software Engineering team at Codurance and are looking for people with strong back-end experience in Python/Django and React who are excited by the opportunity to build modern, scalable systems and contribute across the stack.

You’ll be working closely with product and design teams to implement features end-to-end — from APIs to UIs — and will be supported by experienced engineers as you continue to grow your skills and influence the way we work as a team.

Technologies

Backend-biased expectations

• Back-end Services in Python
• Django experience desired
• Experience in other python-based web frameworks can be considered
• Comfortable with relational databases and data modeling
• Comfortable with AWS (SNS, SQS, EKS, S3)
• Experience using kubernetes
• Understands how to build systems which operate at scale
• Comfortable deploying to production; interacting with build pipelines (e.g. CodeFresh), updating helm charts, terraform
• Comfortable with technology like OpenSearch, ElasticSearch
• Kotlin knowledge is a plus

Frontend-biased expectations ( Nice to have )

• React
• Component library + design system experience
• Server-side Rendering (SSR)
• Experience following standards like WCAG 2.1 AA
• Component / Page Performance knowledge
• SEO knowledge
  

General technology expectations

• RESTful APIs
• CI/CD experience
• Familiarity with models and APIs
