Your Impact on our Mission

Zocdoc’s most important asset is our people. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Provider Account & User Management team, you’ll play a key role in advancing Zocdoc’s mission to give power to patients by making healthcare simple, accessible, and transparent. Delivering on that mission starts with providers having a strong, seamless first experience on the platform.

You’ll help build and evolve the foundational systems that power provider sign-up and onboarding, including organization structure, user and role management, access controls, and communication preferences. These capabilities enable providers to quickly see value from listing on Zocdoc, securely manage their teams, and remain actively engaged—supporting accurate availability, trusted access, and reliable patient experiences.

In this role, you’ll drive the design and implementation of secure, scalable account and identity systems. You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Design, and partner engineering teams to deliver intuitive, reliable onboarding and setup experiences. Your work will directly impact provider activation and retention, platform trust and security, and ultimately empower patients to easily find, book, and return to the right care for themselves and their loved ones.

Your day to day is…

Owning the end-to-end development of provider-facing and internal experiences across React, C#, and AWS-based services, delivering secure, high-quality code that supports provider sign-up, onboarding, and account management at scale
Building reliable, performant systems for organization structure, user and role management, authentication and authorization, and communication preferences—balancing security, flexibility, and scalability
Collaborating closely with a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver intuitive, polished onboarding and setup experiences
Mentoring and supporting fellow engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and shared ownership, with a strong belief in learning through collaboration
Exploring and applying modern tools and technologies, including GenAI where appropriate, to improve developer productivity, system quality, and user experience

Enthusiasm for solving high-impact, system-level problems

Implemented fast and efficient software solutions using object-oriented or functional languages. Some of the technologies we utilize are C#, Scala, React, and Node.js (note, our interview process is language agnostic)
Designed and built user facing web applications that scale
5+ years of professional full-stack development experience with experience writing automated tests and deploying code
Successfully mentored other engineers in the past and encouraged your peers to use software development best practices for code testing and deployment

Zocdoc is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Salary ranges are determined through alignment with market data. Base salary offered is determined by a number of factors including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and skills. Certain positions are also eligible for variable pay and/or equity; your recruiter will discuss the full compensation package details.

Remote Base Salary Range

$173,000—$233,000 USD
