Senior Software Engineer (PL/SQL & Java)

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be part of our international Research & Development Team, contributing to the agile development of our Abacus Banking software in the RegTech domain. 
Your role will involve:

• Developing and enhancing regulatory solutions by implementing, testing, maintaining, and documenting requirements from national and
• international banking authorities
• Providing technical support to customers and Business Analysts, assisting with troubleshooting, and resolving inquiries.
• Ensuring software quality by creating well-defined test cases, test data, and user stories within the agile development process.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Software Engineers, Test System Operators, and Architects across different levels and locations.
• Creating clear and concise documentation for both internal and client use.

Why we should decide on you

Technical expertise in:

• 4 years+ experience in PL/SQL, XML and Java
• Kubernetes and/or Docker: understanding of containers, pods, and pipelines
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Database knowledge: Oracle (legacy), Trino
• SQL (incl. SQLx)
• Java, including core concepts
• Knowledge of standard design and integration patterns, as well as development best practices
• Experience with Maven for project build and dependency management
• QA and CI/CD pipelines: Unit Testing and Integration Testing, Jenkins
• Git and collaborative tools like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket
• Educational background in (Technical) Business Administration, Computer Science, Econometrics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Fluency in English (both spoken and written).
• Proactive and team-oriented personality, open to feedback and continuous improvement.
• Trustworthy and responsible mindset, thriving in a collaborative setting.

Would be an advantage:

• Experience with SQLx and Spark-based solutions in a financial or regulatory context
• Passion for innovation and working in an international, fast-growing, agile environment.
