Who We're Looking For

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a high-performing nearshore team building scalable, cloud-native backend systems. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who is comfortable owning backend services end-to-end, working in modern serverless environments, and collaborating closely with product and infrastructure teams.

You’ll be working on data-heavy, distributed systems and will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining reliable services in AWS.

Primary Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js
Build and maintain scalable, serverless applications on AWS
Work with relational and analytical databases including PostgreSQL and Snowflake
Implement and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform
Develop event-driven systems using AWS services such as Lambda, SNS, SQS, RDS, and DynamoDB
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and DevOps
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design discussions
Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments using GitHub Actions

Some Must-Haves:

5+ years of professional software development experience
Strong experience with Node.js in backend-focused roles
Solid experience with AWS, including serverless services (Lambda, SNS, SQS, RDS, DynamoDB)
Experience working with PostgreSQL and/or Snowflake
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions
Strong understanding of distributed systems and backend architecture
Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team
Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)

The work hours will be approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, depending on workload, with the occasional late night when a tight deadline calls for it. We work for security-conscious clients, thus background checks will be required.
