Senior Software Engineer

We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer who will work with our talented Engineering team to design and develop features that delight our clients and scale with our business. Our business is growing and with it, the opportunities and challenges of building ambitious features while maintaining product quality and performance. Responsibilities

You will be reporting to our Director of Engineering and will work closely with our Engineering team, our Director of Product, and our Quality Assurance team. You will primarily work on product enhancements and maintenance across a range of functional areas. Your tasks will include:

• Architect and develop new product features
• Develop backend API features in Ruby on Rails and new frontend interfaces in Vue.js
• Perform code reviews and create technical design documentation
• Ensure test coverage for the code you write
• Participate in scoping and planning exercises for our deliverables
  

About you

Our ideal candidate has development experience building REST APIs as well as using a modern Javascript frontend framework, but we welcome and will consider other skill sets and experiences.

• 5+ years of full stack development experience
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and performant architecture
• Experience in a modern reactive JavaScript framework (ideally Vue.js, but React, Angular, etc are worthwhile too)
• Web-development experience in Ruby on Rails is a plus
• Experience building unit tests using an automated test framework
• Comfort with SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Git
• Knowledge of CI/CD systems like Github Actions is a nice to have
• Interest or familiarity in finance and fintech
• Methodical, imaginative, driven
