About the Client  

Leading provider of digital cinema technology, delivering software solutions and services that optimize cinema operations, content distribution, and advertising management. With products such as Theatre Management Systems, content delivery networks, and ad sales platforms, the company streamlines workflows and enhances the digital cinema experience for exhibitors worldwide.

What You’ll Do  

Engineering & Delivery

• Implement features and enhancements using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot 2.x/3.x, with database work using JPA and FlyWay
• Implement and maintain frontend functionality using Vaadin (experience preferred; strong Java engineers can pick it up quickly)
• Own migration and integration tasks, ensuring smooth transition of services and data
• Resolve complex bugs and provide production support when required
• Apply AWS services (Lambda, ECS, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS, S3) as part of delivery
• Adapt Terraform modules for new features or services, using existing templates when available
• Ensure robust unit and integration test coverage, applying Testcontainers and BDD frameworks where appropriate

Collaboration & Client Engagement

• Participate in code reviews and daily status meetings
• Share technical knowledge with peers, supporting the ramp-up of mid-level engineers
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architect, and QA to refine requirements and deliver features
• Capture lessons learned and support documentation for long-term maintainability

What You Bring  

• 5 - 7 years of professional experience as a backend or fullstack Java engineer
• Strong expertise in Java (17 and 21) and Spring Boot (2.x and 3.x), JPA
• Experience with incremental DB updates using FlyWay
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, ECS, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS, S3)
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred, but CloudFormation, Pulumi, or similar acceptable)
• Proven experience with unit and integration testing
• Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Vaadin or willingness to pick it up quickly
• Knowledge of Redis caching
