Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

HYPR is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who cares deeply about building secure, high-quality software—and wants to work on problems that actually matter.

You’ll work on HYPR’s cyber security platform, used by Fortune 500 companies:

• Collaboration: Work with developers to understand product architecture and identify issues early.
• Automation Frameworks: Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks
• Code Quality: Develop automated test scripts and tools using Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• CI/CD: Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines.

What you will do

• You will break up complex features into clear, automatable tests and build testing solutions that scale well
• You will test mobile and desktop applications, SaaS services, platform scalability and database migrations
• Partner with engineering teams to enable our Continuous Delivery pipelines to have strong automated test coverage, stable environment setup/teardown, and reliable quality gates
• You will learn new systems and integrations quickly and be able to communicate the challenges and advantages clearly
• You will participate in the full development life cycle, adding your insights to requirements, designs and code reviews

What you have done

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field of study (Master's preferred)
• Strong CS fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms
• 8+ years of automation experience
• Experience working in a Continuous Delivery environment—frequent releases, automated testing gates, CI/CD pipelines, environment automation
• Interest in or experience with AI-assisted development workflows, as HYPR is moving toward an AI-native engineering model
• Experience with BDD/Selenium automation across mobile drivers, BrowserStack, or similar
• Experience testing SaaS platforms or complex distributed systems
• Experience with Git Flow and tools such as Gitlab, Artifactory and Jira

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of identity management systems, such as MS Entra or similar
• Experience testing Windows and Mac desktop applications
• Experience testing with virtual machines
• Good working knowledge of cross-browser and cross-device testing
