The opportunity: 

Join Flexport's mission to make global trade easier for everyone by driving measurable growth through innovative engineering solutions. As a growth focused Full Stack Engineer, you'll work directly with senior executive team members to attract new client traffic to our platform and iterate on creative solutions that increase conversion rates. Your work will directly impact how companies of all sizes discover and engage with Flexport's technology that moves over $19B of merchandise across 112 countries annually.

***This position requires attendance in the Bellevue, WA office 5 days a week***

The team: 

As a Senior Software Engineer, Growth, you will be part of the Freight Forwarding Tech team. This role will collaborate across multiple Flexport business units and tech teams. This includes close partnerships with the customs, freight forwarding, omni-channel solutions, and trucking teams. This cross-functional collaboration ensures growth initiatives are aligned across the entire Flexport platform and address the diverse needs of our global logistics operations. You'll have the opportunity to work with various experts and stakeholders to drive comprehensive growth solutions.

You will:

  • Partner with senior leadership (CEO and the Executive Team members) to identify and execute growth opportunities across our web platform
  • Design and implement front-end and back-end solutions to optimize user acquisition and conversion funnels
  • Build and iterate on creative experiments to drive new client traffic and engagement
  • Analyze user behavior and conversion metrics to inform product and engineering decisions
  • Take ownership of growth initiatives from conception through measurement and optimization
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure growth solutions align with business objectives

You should have:  

  • 5+ years of professional full stack (front-end and back-end) development experience in modern frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and core web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6+).
  • Strong proficiency in data analytics tools and methodologies for measuring user behavior and conversion
  • 3+ years experience with A/B testing, experimentation platforms, and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel).
  • Demonstrated ownership mindset in driving business growth through technical solutions
  • Ability to work collaboratively with executive stakeholders and translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence C-level discussions
  • A "compliance first" attitude to keep our regulators happy and enthusiastic about Flexport since we operate in a heavily regulated industry.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the posting's respective region. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range displayed, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and / or training. 
The US base salary range for this position (exclusive of bonus, equity and benefits):
$206,000—$229,000 USD
