Why this role matters:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll build and operate the systems that connect ICEYE’s satellite fleet with ground station providers around the world. Your work ensures reliable communication, accurate configuration, and real-time visibility into station availability and pass performance, directly enabling successful satellite operations and data delivery to our customers.

Your day-to-day responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate scalable services that manage ground station integrations and availability
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and data models supporting station configuration, pass scheduling, and performance metrics
• Ensure high reliability, performance, and observability of production systems running in cloud and on-prem Kubernetes environments
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external ground station providers to enable seamless satellite communication workflows
• Continuously improve system architecture, automation, and operational excellence using modern DevOps and GitOps practices

What we’re looking for

Must haves:

• Strong hands-on experience in software engineering using Python, Go, or a similar language
• Experience designing and operating scalable services with databases and RESTful APIs in production
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes, container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code practices
• Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to independently research and resolve complex technical challenges
• Professional working proficiency in English and strong collaboration skills

Nice to haves:

• Understanding of satellite communications, RF propagation, or modulation concepts
• Experience working with ground station vendors or satellite operations environments
• Practical experience using AI or LLM tools to support software development workflows

Base salary range for this position is 5 500 - 7 500 € per month (gross), depending on experience, and will be negotiated individually.
