We’re seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to lead the design and delivery of complex, event‑driven systems in a highly regulated environment. You will architect and build scalable services, elevate engineering standards, and collaborate across teams to deliver products that advance both TSA’s and CLEAR’s missions.

The ideal candidate pairs innovation with rigor; has a record of shipping resilient software with robust observability; solves complex problems with simple, elegant solutions; and demonstrates the leadership to drive cross‑functional initiatives from concept to impact.

Tech Stack: Java, Typescript, and SQL; with frameworks such as React; AWS cloud

What You’ll Do:

• Build well-architected systems in highly regulated government environments enabling our partners to complete their mission.
• Capture technical requirements and define high/low level design for software solutions using AWS technologies.
• Raise the bar on code quality by writing and reviewing code ensuring the team produces secure, reliable, available and maintainable code.
• Take the lead on defining, implementing and improving engineering and operational best practices.
• Take the lead on improving how the team proactively resolves systemic issues before they impact our customers

What You’re Great At:

• 6+ years of non-internship full stack software development experience
• Full software development life cycle experience, including defining requirements, design and test plans; implementing code and test automation; executing tests at all levels; and refining and building operational excellence practices.
• Experience building complex multi-component, event-driven systems

• Ideally 3+ years working in government sectors
• Professional experience (3+ years) with languages such as Java, Typescript, and SQL and with frameworks such as React

Salaries will vary depending on various factors which include, but are not limited to location, education, skills, experience and performance. CLEAR’s total compensation package for employees and other rewards may include Restricted Stock Units.
