Senior Software Engineer (Full-Stack / DevOps) – Medical Imaging Solutions

Snke OS develops advanced software solutions for medical data and imaging visualization as well as clinical
workflows. Our applications enable clinicians and researchers to work with complex imaging and medical data
through modern applications such as DICOM viewers, visualization tools, and data-driven clinical systems.
Our software stack includes TypeScript for web applications and C++ for performance-critical imaging
components. We are also evaluating Rust for future development.
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong full-stack capabilities and an focus in DevOps and
developer tooling. In this role, you will primarily contribute to the development of applications focused on the
display of medical imaging data, while also driving the improvement of engineering workflows and platforms
that support our development teams.
You will collaborate closely with engineers working on image and data visualization applications and data
pipelines, backend services, and clinical applications, helping deliver robust software solutions in the medical
domain.

Your Responsibilities

Application & Service Development

  • Design and develop software solutions for medical imaging and clinical workflow applications
  • Develop features for applications visualizing structured medical data and medical imaging data
  • Develop backend services and APIs supporting imaging and data processing workflows
  • Build modern full-stack applications using web technologies, microfrontends and service-based
  • architectures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable and maintainable software solutions

DevOps, Tooling & Automation

  • Drive and improve development workflows, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and build systems to support
  • efficient software delivery using GitHub Actions
  • Automate building, testing, packaging, and deploying complex multi-component systems
  • Maintain and own validated automated processes for development and release
  • Collaborate with other teams to establish shared testing infrastructure and automation
  • Support deployment of applications in on-premise and cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our engineering platform and development tooling
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong experience in software engineering with full-stack development
  • Experience with modern programming languages such as TypeScript, C++, Rust, C#, or similar
  • Experience building scalable software systems or applications
  • Familiarity with web technologies and APIs (HTTP, REST, JSON)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker
  • Experience with build systems and package managers (CMake, MSBuild, npm, vcpkg, etc.)
  • Experience with DICOM and FHIR is a plus
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) is a plus
  • Strong analytical thinking and structured working style
