You will work on services and experiences that sit at the intersection of customers, restaurants, delivery partners, and internal operations teams. This includes evolving our fulfillment workflows, improving reliability and observability, and integrating with internal and third‑party systems that enable Customer Service and Operations to deliver exceptional outcomes at scale.

  • Collaborate with Product and Operations partners to translate complex, real‑world fulfillment problems into pragmatic, scalable technical solutions.
  • Improve system reliability, performance, and observability across critical fulfillment paths, with a strong focus on customer and operational impact.
  • Strike a thoughtful balance between quality, speed, and iteration while delivering on company‑level priorities.
  • Mentor developing engineers and contribute to engineering excellence through design reviews, code reviews, and technical leadership.
  • Work effectively across team boundaries to influence shared systems, APIs, and architectural direction.
  • Have fun building meaningful software with awesome people.

What you have:

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong emphasis on backend systems and service‑oriented architectures.
  • Experience building and maintaining services using languages such as Go, Ruby on Rails, Java, or similar.
  • Demonstrated success designing, consuming, and evolving APIs (REST and/or GraphQL), with working knowledge of relational SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
  • A quality mindset: automated testing, clean and maintainable code, code reviews, and CI/CD fundamentals.
  • Practical experience using feature flags, telemetry, and safe rollout techniques to ship incrementally and de‑risk changes.
  • Experience working in complex, operationally‑heavy domains (e.g., fulfillment, logistics, customer support, marketplaces, or SaaS platforms) is a strong plus.
  • Track record of collaborating with Product and Design to turn ambiguous problems into iterative deliveries with measurable outcomes.
  • Eagerness to give and receive feedback in a collaborative, learning‑oriented environment.
  • Friendly, flexible, and pragmatic approach to work.
