Role Purpose

CIVICA India is seeking a creative and self-motivated Senior Software Engineer (DevOps) with considerable exposure to multiple technologies and platforms & who is keen to join a multi-cultural software company. The successful candidate will be responsible for automating and orchestrating builds, product deployments, production configuration and making it more reliable, scalable, more cost effective.

Job Description

  • Cloud and DevOps:
  • Building and automating on application build, release, configuration management and deployment over both on-prem and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Work as DevOps Engineer as a part of scrum teams on software delivery projects.
  • Act as a technical escalation and provide L2/L3 for customer support requests.
  • Monitor, respond and report on environment (application, platform & infrastructure) metrics in accordance with agreed customer SLAs for availability, performance and capacity.
  • Be part of the on-call support team to perform releases, ad-hoc service requests and incident recovery during out of hours and public holidays.
  • Developing infrastructure as a code (IaC) via scripting, automation, CI/CD pipelines, orchestration.
  • Automate IT operations on deployment, release, monitoring, scaling and capacity management, data backup / retention with cloud native tools.
  • Create and update technical and design documentation, including reports as required.
  • Ensure high quality of rendered customer services
  • Be the centre of excellence and ensure scalability, consistency of support and operations service to customers.

Requirements

Skills Required

  • Scripting language (Any one-PowerShell, Perl, Python, etc.) 4 - 5 Yrs.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud computing and Azure DevOps (VSTS) 4 - 5 Yrs.
  • Azure Web Applications 4 -5 Yrs.
  • Source control (git) 3 -4 Yrs.
  • Experience in developing CI/CD workflows 3- 4 Yrs.
  • Linux and Windows sysadmin skills 2 - 4 Yrs.
  • Demonstrable advanced application debugging (Microsoft IIS .NET technology stack) and troubleshooting skills 2- 4 Yrs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Visual Studio 3 - 4 Yrs.
