(Senior) Software Engineer – DevOps

TLDR

Work on automating complex test environments for cancer radiotherapy solutions using a tech stack of C++, Python, and Azure DevOps in a collaborative, agile team.

Within our R&D RT Positioning division we have several software and hardware teams working in an agile environment on solutions to accurately position patients for cancer radiotherapy. To support our teams in setting up and automating our complex test environments, we are looking for a new automation or software engineer.

You will

  • actively look for ways to further automate our test environments, enabling more realistic tests and reducing the time spent setting them up
  • propose ways to replace custom tools with standard tools over time
  • communicate with teams and management to understand their needs and find solutions that meet both short term requirements and long term goals

The currently used tech stack for software development is the following and may change over time:

  • C++, Python and Javascript for product development
  • Perforce and git for source control
  • Ansible for automation
  • Using YAML with powershell scripting for configuration scripts
  • Azure DevOps for work management
  • Education in computer science or similar
  • 3+ years work experience
  • Proficient in container technologies and their use in development, testing, and deployment workflows 
  • Experience in programming languages/scripting preferential:
    • REST APIs
    • CLIs and shell scripting
    • Knowledge in system and OS architecture
    • Good debugging skills
  • Enthusiasm for technology and a creative mind
  • Ability and commitment for problem solving
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, German is a plus
  • Good communication skills as well as a well-organized and clearly structured working style
  • Experience in creating user-facing tools or products including maintenance
