(Senior) Software Engineer - Data Management ( C#, Go or C++)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced healthcare data management systems, including data storage, transport, aggregation, and pseudonymization, all designed to enhance data-driven hospital workflows and support research efforts. We utilize established standards like DICOM and HL7, alongside emerging standards such as FHIR, while continuously exploring new developments in clinical data management, including OMICS data.

Your responsibilities will also include working on application infrastructure (Smart on FHIR, OAuth2, JWT, telemetry), service hosting (containers, Kubernetes, AWS, CDK), as well as cybersecurity, data privacy tools, and our development ecosystem (GitHub, CI/CD).

As an experienced Software Engineer in the R&D Division of Snke OS Core, you will be at the forefront of driving innovation and creating next-generation software solutions. Collaborating with a diverse team of Software Engineers, Software Architects, Product Owners, and Usability/UX Engineers, we leverage cutting-edge technology and agile methodologies to deliver valuable solutions for our customers.

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 3+ years of experience developing, testing and maintaining software solutions
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Go or C++ with expertise in building scalable and maintainable software applications. Looking ahead, we intend to expand our use of Rust for future development.
  • Experience using good software development principles, especially automated testing
  • Knowledge in state-of-the-art web technologies like HTTP, REST, JSON, gRPC, Protobuf, and microservices
  • Solid understanding of software development principles, data structures, and system architecture
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail in delivering high-quality software solutions
  • Analytical mindset and creativity to develop extraordinary solutions
  • A positive attitude and a passion for continuous learning and professional growth
  • Very good communication skills in English; German is a plus
