…Senior Software Engineer? You are responsible for writing high-quality code following solid engineering principles and best practices. By reviewing the code of engineers at various seniority levels, you ensure that only top-notch code makes it to production. You actively contribute to improving the quality and health of our codebase, processes, and teams. Collaborating closely with product and customer experience teams, you gain a deep understanding of the features you're building or the bugs you're fixing.

- Design, create, and maintain a cloud-based infrastructure consisting of a variety of self-hosted and managed services
- Help the various engineering teams to deliver their services/products by bridging the gap between development and production
- Improve our entire Engineering team experience by improving our tooling, automation, boosting performance, and metrics visibility
- Continuously Improve our high-availability setup so that nothing we can foresee can take us down (no single points of failure)
- Perfect our monitoring so that we are the first to know if anything goes wrong
- Test our high availability in a controlled environment and mock emergency situations so that we are prepared for real incidents

- Excellent communicator: clear, concise, empathetic, and unambiguous
- Commitment to building and maintaining emotionally safe environments where teams can do their best work
- Extensive experience with deploying and monitoring large-scale Web applications (mainly using Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL, with occasional use of Golang, Redis, Elasticsearch, NodeJS, and others)
- Comfortable with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform)
- Experience running services on Kubernetes clusters
- Previous experience with building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines
- Background or knowledge in Software Engineering
- Based in Berlin or Germany in general
