The Ecosystems Domain within Sinch MessageMedia is dedicated to empowering businesses by enhancing relationships with their customers through intuitive and seamless cross-platform workflows. This role sits within a dynamic team leading the creation and expansion of innovative systems designed to amplify the integration capabilities of our messaging platforms. The team independently designs, builds, and maintains its software solutions, continually striving to deliver a consistent, robust, and superior user experience.

 

In this position, you will have ownership of your work from design and implementation through rigorous testing, deployment, and ongoing post-release analysis. You will actively monitor and utilize critical performance metrics, such as error rates, server load, and response times, to drive continuous improvements, enhance product excellence, and ensure customer satisfaction.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver high-performance solutions capable of scaling effectively in production environments.
  • Evaluate and communicate optimal solution strategies clearly to your team.
  • Collaborate closely within a Scrum framework, actively participating in grooming, planning, retrospectives, and contributing insights for continuous improvement.
  • Deeply understand and address customer usage patterns and software requirements.
  • Leverage AWS technologies to efficiently build, deploy, and manage production-ready projects.
  • Provide critical support during incident management and collaborate proactively with the team to resolve production issues promptly and effectively.

 

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Experience in Java, TypeScript, React, and JavaScript development.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, including familiarity with commonly used services.
  • Expertise in system design, software architecture, and understanding of common design patterns and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD best practices, with proven experience in deployment automation.
  • Solid experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs, ensuring proper security and scalability.
  • Solid knowledge and practical experience with cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices.
  • Ability to diagnose complex production issues and efficiently resolve problems under pressure.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment, demonstrating adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • You are a proactive problem-solver with keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to collaborate effectively within diverse teams.
  • You are adaptable, quickly learning new languages and domains as needed. You confidently embrace ownership of tasks, even in unfamiliar areas.
  • You balance creativity with practicality, recognising when to innovate and when structure is required. Beyond coding, you understand the importance of solution design, planning, documentation, monitoring, automation, and incident management.
  • Nice to have experience with publishing to the third-party marketplaces.
