Senior Software Engineer (Browser Extension)

AI overview

Contribute to a critical data security component by developing a secure and performant browser extension with a focus on JavaScript and TypeScript.

About the Role

Our Browser Extension team builds a critical component of our Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and GenAI Security product, enabling visibility and control at the point where users interact with web applications. We’re looking for a strong JavaScript/Typescript developer to help build and enhance this extension, ensuring it’s secure, performant, and deeply integrated with our platform.

Browser extension experience is not strictly required—as long as you have deep JavaScript expertise and can work with browser APIs, you’ll thrive in this role.

What You’ll Do

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, with strong focus on JavaScript/TypeScript.

  • Proven ability to build complex, performant logic in JS/TS (experience with frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue in previous roles is a plus).

  • Experience writing end-to-end automated tests using Playwright (or similar tools).

  • Familiarity with browser extension APIs (Chrome Extensions, Manifest V3) is a plus but not required.

  • Bonus:

    • Experience with security tools or SaaS products.

    • Knowledge of Go (Golang) for backend integration.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with product, design, and backend teams.

Tech Stack

  • Core: JavaScript, TypeScript

  • Testing: Playwright

  • Backend: Go (Golang), gRPC, REST APIs

  • Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines

What Success Looks Like in 6 Months

  • You’ve shipped multiple features in the browser extension that improve visibility and security for our customers.

  • You’ve implemented robust automated end-to-end test coverage for critical workflows using Playwright.

  • You’ve established strong collaboration with the endpoint and backend teams, ensuring smooth integration and consistent functionality.

  • You’ve contributed to improving performance and reliability across different browsers and environments.
