Senior Software Engineer- Azure

The Azure Support & Automation team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop and support scalable methods for building, deploying, and supporting Azure Infra & applications.  This is a highly collaborative role in which you will work closely with our Software and Infrastructure Engineers to deploy and operate our solutions; automate and streamline our processes; and build and maintain tools for deployment. This role is part of the Productivity Engineering organization that focuses on the Enterprise IT infrastructure. 

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design & development of business processes, systems, applications, information, and data. While working on this team, you’ll get a chance to make key technology decisions, solve complex problems, and develop new skills in the process. You will be results driven and coaching teams to deliver Azure support & Automation at the highest levels of quality and craftsmanship. This position is full-time and based in our Bangalore office.

Responsibilities: 

• Key contributor to automation, tooling, and continuous delivery services for Azure infrastructure used by LinkedIn’s internal enterprise IT organization and its internal customers  
• Software contributor to your team in a DevOps-oriented, cloud-focused systems and infrastructure engineering organization 
• Produce high quality, build and deployment software that is unit tested, reviewed, and continuously integrated 
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables related to your technical expertise and assigned domains 
• Mentor and train other team members on coding standards, CI/CD, and infrastructure architecture related to your technical expertise and assigned domains 
• Participate and manage 24x7 team on-call rotation, and be available to work with global teams in the event of critical outages 

Basic Qualifications: 

• BTech/MTech/MCA or equivalent in Computer Science or related technical discipline. 
• 6+ years of experience in managing Azure, Cloud-focused software development in C#, Python, or other object-oriented programming languages 
• Experience in build and release engineering, including the creation of CI/CD pipelines, and the authoring of integration and unit tests 
• Experience in managing and deploying cloud-based resources via declarative cloud management languages (e.g. ARM, Ansible, Terraform) 
• Experience in software design and architecture 
• Experience with DevOps core concepts and Agile software development practices 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Deep technical experience focusing on designing and implementing solutions for enterprise users and developers on Azure 
• Experience building infrastructure automation and cloud management platforms at scale 
• Experience building cloud-native, event-driven software for serverless infrastructures 
• Experience deploying and managing cloud-native infrastructure in Azure 
• Experience with microservice technologies, such as Service Fabric, Kubernetes, and their companion tools 
• Experience in Azure Tenant Migrations. 
• Experience with the Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or comparable cloud-based Continuous Delivery platforms 
• Knowledge of GenAI and technologies used in the automation industry.
