About NetVendor Maintenance 

NetVendor Maintenance (formerly ServusConnect) is a complete digital maintenance operation solution that includes tools for mobile maintenance, full digital inspections, make-ready projects, preventive maintenance, resident engagement, and comprehensive BI & Analytics for multi-family properties.

ServusConnect began in 2015 as a Software-as-a-Service application focused on improving the relationships between property managers, vendors, and residents – a huge gap in the market back then. Over time, the team developed additional features, including mobile apps that connected vendors with property managers and residents to facilitate even faster service. In 2022, ServusConnect was acquired by NetVendor and became NetVendor Maintenance. 

About the Role 

We're looking for a multi-faceted individual to join us as a software developer on the NetVendor Maintenance product. We're a small (but mighty!) team building modern web and mobile applications used every day by industry professionals. You'll work alongside product managers, subject matter experts, designers, and other developers to conceive and build features and improvements using Ruby on Rails and React. 

Multi-family Property Management Companies (PMCs) across North America use our platform to run their maintenance operations. Essentially, our platform helps manage Service Requests (Work Orders), Inspections, and Make-Ready turnovers for multi-family properties (e.g. apartment complexes).

We believe in agility, iteration, continual improvement, and continuous deployment. We use modern development workflows based on GitHub, pull requests, code reviews, and automated tooling to optimize developer productivity. We enjoy learning and trying new things. 

About You 

• Senior-level developer with 5 years or more of experience. 

• Well-versed in both back-end and front-end web technologies, especially Ruby on Rails and React. 

• Experience writing maintainable, scalable, and well-tested code. 

• Desire to have an immediate and meaningful impact with your work, and improve every day. 

• Enjoy contributing to a collaborative environment. 

• Experience in a remote-first work environment. 

• Experience using AI to help you solve problems and write better code, more quickly.

Responsibilities 

• Write maintainable, scalable, and well-tested code. 

• Analyze, diagnose, and modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new workflows, or improve performance. 

• Analyze user needs and requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. 

• Develop new features and functionality according to requirements, while maintaining high quality and low defect rates. 

• Work with other team members to create and evaluate estimates for development efforts based on stakeholder requirements.  

• Aid testers and support personnel as needed to troubleshoot the root cause of system issues.
