About the role

We’re looking for a Software Developer to join Bold on a 3–6 month contract. You’ll work in an AI-enabled development environment, designing and maintaining software patterns that allow AI tools to generate high-quality, secure code. You’ll collaborate with the team to ship maintainable, reliable software while leveraging AI to accelerate development.

This is a fast-paced role for someone who moves quickly, embraces modern tools, and enjoys problem-solving in a flexible, AI-driven workflow.

What you’ll do

• Write code selectively to handle complex logic AI cannot fully automate.
• Review AI-generated and human-written code for correctness and maintainability.
• Build and maintain automated tests to validate functionality and prevent regressions.
• Continuously refine workflows to improve accuracy, consistency, and development speed.
• Ensure code follows security best practices and is optimized for long-term maintainability.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and release processes.
  

What we’re looking for

• 7+ years of development experience, ideally within SaaS, e-commerce, or Shopify ecosystems.
• Strong proficiency in PHP (Laravel) and Go, with experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and React or similar frameworks.
• Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs, including integrations with Shopify Admin and Storefront APIs.
• Comfortable with Git, modern development workflows, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience leveraging AI or automation tools to accelerate development is a plus.
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices, system performance, and maintainability.
