We are seeking an experienced ARM SoC Architect to lead the design and development of ARM-based System on Chip (SoC) solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the architecture, working closely with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the SoC meets performance, power, and area targets. This role requires a deep understanding of ARM architecture, SoC design principles, and a proven track record in SoC architecture and design.
What you will do:
- Define and develop the architecture for ARM-based SoC solutions targeting applications in 5G, IoT
- Work closely with system architects, hardware, and software teams to define SoC requirements and specifications
- Lead the design and integration of various IP blocks, including CPUs, memory controllers, and peripheral interfaces
- Ensure the SoC architecture meets performance, power, and area targets
- Perform feasibility analysis, trade-off studies, and simulations to optimize the SoC architecture
- Collaborate with verification and validation teams to ensure the functionality and performance of the SoC design
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in ARM architecture and semiconductor design technologies
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers
What you bring to this role:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in SoC design with a focus on ARM architecture
- Strong understanding of ARM architecture and AMBA protocols (AXI, AHB, APB)
- Experience with SoC design tools and methodologies
- Proven track record in designing and implementing complex SoC solutions
- Fluency in both HDL (Verilog/VHDL) and C/Python programming languages
- Familiarity with SystemC and SystemVerilog is an important advantage
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Bonus points for the following:
- Experience with low-power design techniques
- Knowledge of high-speed interface protocols (e.g., PCIe, USB, Ethernet)
- Familiarity with system-level design and simulation tools
- Experience with firmware and software development for ARM-based systems
- Understanding of security and encryption techniques for SoC designs
This is a full time, exempt position, based out of our Saratoga office. The target base pay for this position is $150,000 - $220,000 annually. The total compensation packaged will be determined by various factors such as your relevant job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
