Woodard & Curran is a national engineering, science, and operations firm with a simple vision for clean water, a safe environment, healthy communities, and happy people. As an employee-owned company, we strive to cultivate teams that encourage collaboration in an inclusive culture. We seek talented individuals from all backgrounds to help us address a broad range of water and environmental issues. We prioritize our people, offering opportunities for professional growth, ownership, and flexibility. This commitment enables us to make a meaningful impact on our clients, communities, and the planet.
In response to our continued growth, Woodard & Curran offers a unique opportunity to join our Montana team in our Remediation Practice, which provides high‑quality civil and environmental engineering, remediation, and restoration services to commercial and industrial clients throughout the U.S. We are seeking a motivated, growth‑oriented professional with strong technical experience to lead remediation system selection, design, and evaluation, while providing guidance and mentorship to a talented team of engineers and scientists. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, a commitment to sound engineering practices, and a passion for innovation and technical excellence in the remediation field.
This position will have a strong civil and remediation engineering focus. Key responsibilities include stormwater design, site development, excavation design, capping design, elevation grading work, dewatering and treatment design, construction support, cost estimation, preparation of specifications, design packages, drawings, and quantity takeoffs. The role may be filled at the Sr. Site Civil/Remediation Engineer or Civil/Remediation Engineer level. While remediation work incorporates a scientific component, we are particularly interested in candidates with a Professional Engineer (PE) license. CERCLA/Superfund experience is highly valuable, though not required, as we have strong regulatory expertise within the team.
In this role, the successful candidate will primarily provide civil and environmental engineering support on remediation and mine site restoration projects throughout the Western United States. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in investigation, remedial design, and restoration efforts associated with complex remediation and construction projects. Experience with Superfund sites, former mine site reclamation/remediation, oil and gas well closures, and interactions with regulators is preferred. You will lead the technical delivery and QA/QC of services across multiple projects, be familiar with local and federal regulations, and support marketing and proposal development.
The position requires a strong communicator with demonstrated ability to develop, lead, and mentor project teams. You will collaborate closely with a diverse and highly skilled group of client managers, project managers, external consultants, and Woodard & Curran engineers, scientists, geologists, and project administrative professionals to deliver exceptional results. You will also contribute to delivery system improvement programs and help lead Practice initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to have a significant and meaningful impact.
