For the needs of the client, a Major EU Institution based in Brussels, you can work fully remote from anywhere in the EU (with the exception of the first week where you will need to go to Brussels to pick up some equipment and meet the team).

More specifically, you will be responsible for…

  • Designing, developing, and configuring ServiceNow applications using platform capabilities such as tables, forms, lists, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and workflows.

  • Developing and maintaining server‑side and client‑side scripts (JavaScript, Glide APIs).

  • Building and customizing Flow Designer flows, legacy workflows, and automation solutions.

  • Creating and extending Scoped Applications following ServiceNow best practices.

  • Analyzing the integration of different information systems.

  • Designing and implementing integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, IntegrationHub, and data sources.

  • Configuring import sets and transform maps for data ingestion and synchronization.

  • Ensuring data integrity, performance, and security across integrated systems.

  • Configuring and customizing ServiceNow modules such as HRSD, TA, TD, CMDB, or other enterprise workflows.

  • Customizing service catalogs, record producers, and fulfillment workflows.

  • Customizing the user interface using UI Actions, UI Pages, UI Macros, and Service Portal widgets.

  • Supporting Service Portal / Employee Center development and enhancements.

  • Ensuring usability, accessibility, and performance standards are met.

  • Adhering to ServiceNow development best practices, including upgrade‑safe development and scoped‑app design.

  • Participating in code reviews, peer reviews, and platform governance processes.

  • Implementing role‑based access controls (ACLs) and ensuring compliance with security policies.

  • Performing unit testing, system testing, and supporting UAT activities.

  • Supporting release management across DEV, TEST, and PROD environments using update sets or CI/CD pipelines.

  • Troubleshooting and resolving platform issues, defects, and performance bottlenecks.

  • Producing and maintaining technical documentation, including design specifications and configuration details.

  • Collaborating with business analysts, architects, administrators, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

  • Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers or administrators.

Requirements

Technical Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in IT, including 5+ as a ServiceNow developer or Tech lead

  • Good knowledge of architecture best practices and patterns on ServiceNow platform

  • Good knowledge of ServiceNow applications design

  • Proficiency in HTML5, Javascript, CSS3 and SASS.  

  • Good knowledge in client-side development of complex applications involving: multi module, Web Components.

  • Experience on ServiceNow HR domain

  • Experience with responsive and adaptive design.

  • Experience with ServiceNow ATF
