This role leads the design, architecture, and development of advanced ServiceNow solutions across enterprise environments. The Senior ServiceNow Architect/Developer will focus on backend portal architecture, custom application development, and integrations while leveraging automation and AI capabilities to optimize workflows and improve user experience. You will provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, and translate complex business requirements into scalable, high-performance solutions. This position offers the opportunity to shape enterprise ServiceNow platforms, enhance operational efficiency, and drive innovation in IT automation and AI-enabled processes. The ideal candidate is highly technical, hands-on, and thrives in fast-paced, evolving technology environments. Accountabilities:
  • Architect, design, and develop scalable ServiceNow solutions with a focus on backend portal design, integrations, and custom applications.
  • Lead automation of end-user device lifecycle workflows, improving efficiency and reliability across IT services.
  • Design, implement, and maintain complex server-side scripts, custom applications, and portal components.
  • Build integrations with external systems using REST APIs and middleware to ensure seamless enterprise functionality.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify AI and automation opportunities to reduce manual effort and enhance operational intelligence.
  • Contribute to technical standards, development best practices, and solution architecture decisions.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering technical excellence and cross-team collaboration.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; military experience considered a plus.
  • 8+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, including at least 3+ years in a senior or architect-level role.
  • Deep expertise in server-side scripting (JavaScript, Script Includes, Business Rules, ACLs).
  • Strong experience with AngularJS and ServiceNow portal development.
  • Proven ability to design and implement ServiceNow integrations (REST, APIs, MID Server).
  • Advanced knowledge of custom application development and ServiceNow platform architecture.
  • Certified ServiceNow Application Developer required.
  • Experience incorporating AI/ML concepts, Python, C, .NET, or data engineering platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
