We are seeking a Senior Security Systems Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and sustain complex ICT security and infrastructure capabilities across highly secure environments. This role is responsible for leading engineering activities across the full system lifecycle, ensuring security platforms and supporting infrastructure are reliable, resilient, and fit for purpose. NV1 clearance is highly preferred for this role.

Requirements

What you'll do:

  • Design, develop, deploy, and sustain ICT security and infrastructure capabilities across on-premise, cloud, virtual, and networking environments
  • Lead systems engineering activities including requirements development, system definition, design, integration, verification, and validation
  • Plan and lead the implementation and ongoing maintenance of complex ICT environments comprising both Windows and Linux systems
  • Implement and support ICT security capabilities such as SIEM, SOAR, vulnerability management, asset discovery, data pipelines, cross-domain solutions, and secure storage platforms
  • Plan and lead the provision, support, and maintenance of SAN appliances, physical and virtual server infrastructure, and end-user desktop environments
  • Ensure system reliability through standardised configuration management, backup, and recovery processes
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve operational efficiency and system reliability
  • Monitor network performance and system health using appropriate management and monitoring tools
  • Identify, manage, and resolve operational issues in accordance with agreed standards and procedures
  • Provide senior technical leadership and subject matter expertise to uplift and implement new security capabilities
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and support the correct application of operational and security procedures

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience administering, integrating, and supporting ICT security capabilities such as SIEM, SOAR, CDS, vulnerability management, data pipelines, on-premise infrastructure, cloud, and storage platforms
  • Strong knowledge of information security principles, practices, and technologies
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical teams or initiatives to implement or uplift complex security and infrastructure capabilities
  • Experience operating within highly secure or regulated environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent practical experience (desirable)
  • Understanding of Defence or similar secure technical environments (desirable)
  • Australian citizenship is mandatory
  • Must hold an active TSPV security clearance (clearance upgrades are not sponsored)
  • Willingness to complete a suitability assessment process prior to engagement
  • Ability to work onsite across approved locations, with limited WFH where policy permits
