How you will make a difference

Reltio India is seeking a seasoned Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with expertise in data science and machine learning. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software testing methodologies, automation tools, and frameworks, coupled with a keen understanding of data science and machine learning concepts.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning and Strategy:

• Develop, implement, and maintain test strategies, test plans, and test cases for our ML-based products.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and product managers to understand the complexities and nuances of ML models, data pipelines, and algorithms.
• Ensure testing processes adequately cover the areas of data integrity, model accuracy, model fairness, and end-to-end system functionality.

Automation Development:

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable test automation frameworks and test cases.
• Optimize continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes to support ML model training and inference pipelines.
• Identify and leverage appropriate ML-specific testing tools and libraries to improve the efficiency of the testing process.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure high-quality data ingestion, processing, model training, and deployment.
• Lead root cause analysis on ML model and pipeline failures, ensuring issues are identified, logged, and prioritized.
• Validate the correctness, robustness, and scalability of data science solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and user needs.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth integration of ML models into production systems.
• Advocate for quality throughout the development process, working closely with developers to ensure best practices are followed.
• Report on test status, quality metrics, and issues to stakeholders on a regular basis.

Continuous Learning:

• Stay updated with the latest in testing methodologies, tools, and best practices in the realm of data science and ML.
• Act as a mentor to junior team members, providing guidance and insights into the world of ML testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as an SDET or similar role, with at least 2 years focused on data science or ML products.
• Proven expertise in testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, and ML-specific testing tools.
• Solid understanding of ML algorithms, data pipelines, and model evaluation metrics.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong coding skills in Python, Java, or other relevant languages.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Reltio or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
• Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
